Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Coastal Paint Pros LLC, a professional painting contractor located in Charleston, South Carolina. (“Coastal Paint Pros”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By engaging our services, you (“Client”, “you”, or “your”) agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Coastal Paint Pros provides residential and commercial painting services, including but not limited to:

• Interior and exterior painting

• Surface preparation (e.g., sanding, patching, caulking)

• Drywall repairs

• Pressure washing

• Color consultation (optional)

• Deck/stairs/railings building & repairs

The exact scope of work, materials, schedule, and price will be detailed in a written estimate or proposal prior to the start of any project.

2. Estimates and Payments

Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

A deposit (typically 20%) is required to secure scheduling.

The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project unless otherwise specified in writing.

Accepted payment methods include: credit card, debit card, check, and bank transfer. Digital payment methods may carry a convenience fee as specified in the estimate or proposal.

3. Refunds and Disputes

We are committed to customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with our work, please contact us directly to resolve the issue. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis and strive for fair, prompt resolutions.

Important:

To prevent unnecessary or premature disputes, clients must contact Coastal Paint Pros directly to request a refund or resolve any issues prior to initiating a chargeback or dispute with their credit card provider. Failure to do so may delay the resolution process and could violate the terms of our agreement.

Refunds, if granted, will be processed within 10 business days and returned using the original method of payment.

4. Change Orders

Any changes to the agreed-upon scope of work must be submitted and approved in writing. Additional costs or delays caused by change orders will be communicated promptly.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing clear and safe access to the work area

• Removing valuable or fragile items from the workspace

• Keeping pets and children away from active job sites

• Ensuring surfaces are dry and ready for painting (unless prep work is included in the agreement)

6. Limited Warranty

We offer a 1-year limited warranty on labor and workmanship. This warranty does not cover:

• Damage due to weather, water, structural issues, or improper maintenance

• Paint failure due to conditions beyond our control

• Repairs or alterations made by others after our work is completed

• Client-supplied materials or products

7. Delays and Cancellations

We may need to reschedule work due to weather, material availability, or unforeseen circumstances. If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations may result in loss of your deposit.

8. Insurance and Liability

Coastal Paint Pros maintains appropriate liability insurance. We are not liable for:

• Pre-existing conditions

• Minor cosmetic damage (e.g., landscaping, fixtures) during exterior work

• Issues caused by third-party contractors

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the project for cause with written notice. If the client cancels the agreement without cause after work has begun, the client will be responsible for payment of all completed work and any material costs incurred.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
